The Espazzola consists of a rigid cup section that can be inserted into the group-head like a portafilter. A flexible insert - the membrane - is mounted into the cup.  The flexible membrane adapts to the group-head. All areas in this narrow and hot part are wiped off simultaneously - up to the sealing gasket and into the slot for the portafilter cams! At the same time, the hot water from the espresso machine is used to flush the group-head thoroughly. It is then safely guided over the rim of the cup into the drip tray. With this clever principle, cleaning all surfaces in a group-head takes less than 20 seconds and is as easy as pulling an espresso shot. And that without any big spills or burnt fingers! The espresso machine cleans itself almost automatically.

This lets the waste settle on the side, reducing the vacuum effect, making it easier to slide out the bag.  If you're having trouble joining the Thumpa Rod and Rubber sleeve together, please do not bang them together. This friction can cause the two parts to bind together. Instead, apply a small amount of olive oil or other food-grade lubricant to the parts and join together.

Cafetto LOD Black Liquid Descaler Directions Ensure the left white cap is tightly sealed and slightly loosen the right white cap. Gently squeeze the bottle until reservoir measures 100mL, remove the left cap and pour from reservoir. Add 1 litre cold water to prepare descaling solution. Follow the machine manufacturer’s instructions to decalcify, de-lime or descale the machine. Always rinse the machine at least twice with fresh water after decalcifying and before re-filling and reusing the machine. Recommended For Heavy duty descaling. Removing hard water scale from metal surfaces in contact with hot water such as espresso machine water tanks, coffee brewing and other hot water equipment. Not recommended for use on aluminium.
